Coordinator, Regional Programs (TX)

Latinos for Education is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Coordinator of Regional Programs to support the planning, recruitment, implementation, and alumni engagement efforts for our Texas region. This position will assist in overall program evaluation and iteration, serving as a key contributor at the intersection of quality control, user experience, and impact measurement.

Regional Program Recruitment and Selection

• Assist with the recruitment and selection processes for our fellowships, including application review, interview coordination, and candidate communications
• Support recruitment efforts by coordinating recruitment events, assisting in outreach activities and communicating with potential participants (in English and in Spanish)
• Coordinate with regional and national Program teams in the support and execution of regional program implementation
• Support regional selection processes by managing team calendar, scheduling candidate interviews

Regional Program Implementation Network Engagement Efforts

• Assist in planning and executing regional programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives
• Collaborate with the national team on the implementation of an alumni and regional network engagement strategy
• Aid in the implementation of program activities, including logistics coordination, scheduling, and participant communications
• Support in the creation and management of a volunteer network for the region by facilitating engagement opportunities
• Assist in alumni outreach efforts, cultivating and maintaining relationships with program alumni to foster ongoing engagement and support for organizational goals
• Facilitate alumni engagement activities, maintaining relationships with program alumni and organizing networking events or opportunities for continued involvement
• Contribute to program evaluation efforts by collecting and analyzing data, preparing reports, and identifying areas for improvement

General Regional Team Support and Coordination

• Support other regional initiatives and events as needed, including general regional events, fundraising events, policy and advocacy efforts, and cross-functional projects
• Provide administrative support as needed, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and preparing materials for program-related activities
• Input and track relationship data in Salesforce for regional stakeholders (fellows, alumni, organizational partners)
• Track project plans for all stages of program development and implementation
• Maintain current and accurate data on engagement by FLE fellows and alums
• Participate in national and regional team meetings and retreats and actively contribute to a positive team culture
• Help build organizational culture and embody Latinos for Education core values

Required:

• Based in Houston, TX region
• Fluent in English and Spanish (speaking, reading and writing)
• 2+ years of general professional experience
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy in all tasks
• Understanding of local context and Latino education landscape in the Houston, TX region and surrounding are
• Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred:

• Previous experience in program coordination and project management
• Previous experience in planning for and setting up learning environments for adults
