Data Entry/AP ClerkMain Points
  • Responsible for retrieving invoices from websites, saving them in the correct folders and entering information from those invoices into an excel workbook and other similar task.
  • Want someone w/ Financial Data Entry experience
  • NEED to be strong w/ MS Excel.
  • Pay: 17/hr.
  • Location: Fully onsite at Huntsville, AL office 

We are looking for a Data Entry Clerk to type information into our database from paper documents. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy with a keen eye for detail. You will report to a data manager or another senior data team member. Understanding of data confidentiality principles is compulsory.

The company will rely on you for having accurate and updated data that are easily accessible through a digital database.

Responsibilities
  • Processing and computer input for payments
  • Matching receivers
  • Invoices and purchase orders
  • Checks for proper approval and processes invoices on contract progress payments
  • Checks all coding and extensions
  • Follows up with vendors and/or other departments to correct discrepancies
  • Reconciles statements
  • Notifies vendors of debit balances due
  • Prepares immediate pay checks
  • Assists with accrual journal entries
  • Researches stale dated checks and follows up with letters to the payees
  • Processes 1099’s and other governmental forms related to accounts payable
Requirements and skills
  • Proven experience as data entry clerk
  • Fast typing skills; Knowledge of touch typing system is strongly preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
  • Basic understanding of databases
  • Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • High school degree or equivalent
