The Sr. Quality Manager will sit within our Global Merchandise Services (GMS) team. GMS helps brands bring their fan communities products that unleash badge-wearing potential, so the people who love them most can love them even more.

The Sr. Quality Manager leads a wide variety of the quality function at GMS, including ownership for product testing and the product test lab. This individual will interface with product management, industrial design, design engineering, and production engineering to deliver a constant flow of innovative products that will enhance the way people enjoy beverages and food everywhere. This person’s passion for working with various brands, products, and regions will support the new product development team to deliver an amazing array of products on challenging timelines.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION

  • Lead the quality function, including ownership for product testing and the product test lab.
  • Represent product safety, compliance, and quality during new product development.
  • Work closely with product compliance team on regulatory requirements and approvals.
  • Own internal product testing process, including lab strategy.
  • Lead continuous improvement activities.
  • Manage product quality issues with cross-functional team.
  • Track and maintain global standards for existing and new products/customers.
  • Maintain quality documents and records per established procedures.
  • Own customer standards and translating into product specifications.
  • Create and maintain test protocols for products globally.
  • Review prototypes from technical perspective.
  • Own quality relationship with customers.
  • This position reports to the Director of Quality & Compliance.

 

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S) from four-year college or university.
  • 10+ years of experience in leadership and management.
  • 10+ years of experience in product safety, compliance and/or quality.
  • Ability to prepare the company for significant growth, by implementing best practices in product safety, compliance, and quality, and being a champion of change.
  • Well connected with peers within the industry.
  • Experience with consumer products, including children’s products.
  • Ability to Knowledge of materials and Color, Material, Finish related to consumer hard goods including plastics, stainless steel, glass and/or ceramics desired.
  • Self-motivated with an ability to prioritize tasks; must have time-management, organizational, problem-prevention and problem-solving skills.
  • Skilled in workflow management, coordination of teams, strong facilitation skills that balance detailed requirements of design, regulation, and mass production to meet company objectives for consumer products.
  • Excellent technical, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively work with individuals and groups at all levels within the organization.
  • Successful track record supporting a constant flow of projects with aggressive timelines.
  • Ability to leverage virtual teams spread across the globe.
  • Experience working directly with quality engineers and factories desired.
  • Work accurately with close attention to detail.
  • Adapt to changing business needs and deadlines.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.

The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed.
