Registered Respiratory Therapist (PART-TIME)-Tampa (4-hour self scheduling)

This position is a 4-hour shift and where you have the opportunity to determine your dedicated shift.

5 Star Cares provides 24hr medical care for individuals with Intellectual/developmental disabilities (ID/DD) in a home setting. We're looking for a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our growing team. The registered Respiratory Therapists will be responsible for independently utilizing current respiratory care administration and monitoring practices in accordance with physician's orders. As a critical part of our patient care team you will collaborate with physicians, registered nurses, and Licensed practical nurses to provide superior quality of care. Reports To: Director

Responsibilities of this position include:

• Evaluating and recommending a treatment plan of care to allow consumers to reach maximum performance levels
• Responsible for documentation of consumer's evolution including evaluation reports on consumer's progress
• Operate various types of oxygen and other therapeutic gas and mist inhalation equipment
• Establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with the consumer, the consumer’s family, work team and all levels of the organization
• Provide education and consultation to healthcare staff in support of end-user education needs in the healthcare setting
• Assess customer needs and assist with resolving issues stemming from lack of medical device knowledge or understanding of the particular product
• Assist in the delivery of medical device-related in-service education to support key customers
• Follow-up with staff to assess unmet education and clinical needs as it relates to successful medical device implementation
• Should be able to work various locations

Job Qualifications:

• Education Successful completion of an accredited program for Respiratory Care.
• Experience Two years of experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Licensure Current State of Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure
• Certifications BLS/CPR
• ACLS required
• Ability to work part-time (flexible)
• Current TB
• Physical

Pay rate: $35-$38hr

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday-4-hour shifts (set DEDICATED hours to be determined by RT)
Thursday, Friday, Saturday 4-hour shift(set DEDICATED hours to be determined by RT)
