Asthma and Allergy Associates of Florida, a division of Family Allergy & Asthma, is looking for a professional and friendly Patient Access Coordinator to work in the Front Office of our Clinics! The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and administrative support to our patients.


Location: 2021 East Commercial Blvd., Suite #305, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida 33308 - Travel for coverage to other offices as needed: Will be dependent on where the candidate lives

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00/6:00 PM, 1-2 Saturdays / month 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM (East Boca or Plantation office)

Pay: $18 / hour

Medical Front Office Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Check patients in and out
  • Collect co-pays and deductibles
  • Answer telephone, handle all calls appropriately, and schedule appointments for new and existing patients
  • Prepare front desk prior to the start of clinic: confirm benefits on all testing patients, print schedules, prepare all paperwork, and check messages
  • Maintain and follow HIPAA policies and procedures


Medical Front Office Competencies, Education and Experience:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Strong computer skills
  • Must be a quick learner, organized and team oriented
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to speak and read English
  • Ability to speak and read Spanish, required
  • Prior medical office experience, preferred
  • Ability to travel to satellite offices, as needed
