Job Summary
This team member will keep material inventory and supply the machining team with the proper stock to successfully complete customer orders. Safety is important in this role, due to the use of industrial cutting equipment and the use of the company fork truck.

Essential Functions

Keep work area and inventory neat and orderly
Wear proper PPE for job function being performed
Maintain digital material inventory
Follow job pick lists to cut material to required size
Maintain a fork truck license
Fill out daily fork truck safety sheet
Unload delivery trucks as needed
Maintain material scrap area, including loading and unloading of bins when vendor is present
Assist the team with additional required materials
Perform other duties as assigned

Technical Competencies

Ability to read and utilize a tape measure
Ability to read and use calipers
Basic blueprint reading
Ability to use multiple pieces of cutting equipment
Ability to determine proper cutting equipment depending on the job
Ability to safely maneuver a fork truck inside and outside of a building

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED required
A minimum of 1 year in a manufacturing environment preferred

Work Hours/Travel:

1st Shift Work Schedule: 5 – 8-hour shifts
2nd Shift Work Schedule: 4 – 10-hour shifts
Overtime as necessary
Flexible scheduling in agreement with supervisor
No travel
