Job Description/Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will be capable of receiving and executing from pick-up through delivery of both air and ocean international shipments (import and export).
- Responsible for coordinating all necessary documentation for export/import activities, creating cargo pick up/transfer/delivery orders, coordinating with carriers/co-load agents, and communicating with related authorities, customers, and suppliers at both origin and destination.
- Ensure completion of quotes and files, to include billing, documentation, and archiving (paperless).
- Strong attention to protecting and improving quoted profit margins with accurate invoicing of shipments within allotted KPIs.
- Providing customer service support with a professional and pleasant manner, with an emphasis on accountability and prompt response times.
- Cultivate strong relationships with vendors and customers.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Two years air export freight experience mandatory and at least some ocean freight experience (preferred).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong Telephone Skills and Written Communication Skills.
- Ability to Multitask with Attention to Details.
- Problem Solving and Analytical Skills
- Effective Communication Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft office programs (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Knowledge and understanding of Incoterms 2020.
Educational Requirements:
- College degree or equivalent work experience
