Salary:

Global Land Partners, LLC is seeking a full time in-house Land Technician / Document Specialist in its Norman, Oklahoma office to provide administrative and document support to the Right-of-Way Supervisor, Right-of-Way Agents, Title Agents, and other team members, landowners, clients, and government agencies as they relate to right-of-way acquisitions. Duties include:

  • Prepares pre-approved right-of-way and oil & gas contracts by entering land ownership, legal descriptions, payment terms, and signing parties
  • Reviews title information and checks accuracy of legal descriptions against contracts
  • Analyzes legal documents to assure that all have been properly executed and notarized
  • Process documentation and track payments
  • Examines right-of-way files in order to determine contract rights such as line rights, rentals, assignability, construction terms, reservations, etc.
  • Prepare pipeline line lists, researching landowner information
  • Analyzes legal documents in order to enter into database
  • Accurately maintains and organizes land files, electronic files and permanent files

Qualifications and Essential Functions include:

  • Previous experience in the Oil & Gas Industry as one or more of the following: Land Technician, Paralegal, Document Specialist, Lease Analyst, Landman
  • Knowledge and understanding of land and right-of-way documents, deeds, ownership reports, and overall right-of-way processes and procedures
  • Knowledge and understanding of trusts, estates, guardianships, corporation documents, etc.
  • Knowledge and understanding of courthouse departments and document recording processes
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Strong PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Earth and Adobe Acrobat Pro

A Land Technician / Document Specialist is similar to a paralegal and generally has a background as a right-of-way and land professional with additional training in database and land management software systems. They must be confident in making decisions based on their combined knowledge and education and has the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment. Only accepting local applicants.
