Job Summary

Individual will be the voice and initial point-of-contact in the Southern Maine area. Use of exceptional sales and consultative skills to understand the needs of interested prospects to turn them into loyal customers. Ambition and outgoing. Reliability to call on customers, build relationships and sell product.

Requirements:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Job responsibilities are to oversee and develop lubricant sales to drive company revenue.
  • Prospect new business and reach established goals.
  • Track results and trends regularly for business forecasting.
  • Develop and execute innovative sales strategies.
  • Establish relationships with prospective customers using various prospecting techniques.
  • Makes the personal time commitment to build the client relationship.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals to current and prospective customers.
  • Become an expert on products and solutions and is knowledgeable of industry changes.
  • Communicate directly with inside sales department to ensure accurate completion of sales process.
  • Assist with establishing credit terms and negotiating collection problems as they arise.
  • Commit to continuing education through advanced product knowledge and training, working with manufacturers reps, and attending manufacturer sponsored training classes.
  • Prepare various internal reports.

Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and abilities

Knowledge of oil and lubricant industry helpful but not required

Literate in Microsoft Office

Excellent written & oral communication skills

Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Highly Motivated

Persuasive

Must be able to work independently


Education & Experience

College degree in a related field preferred or equivalent work experience

Demonstrated history of obtaining new business and retaining current customer base
