POSITION SUMMARY
The individual in this role is responsible for the production of a variety of rotating electrical products (Alternators and Starters), including disassembly, assembly, testing and packaging.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Disassemble rotating electrical products preserving and separating parts for reuse.
- Tumble and clean parts as required.
- Maintain cadence of disassembly in order to keep pace of line and attain production targets and metrics.
- Perform daily production tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and ready for use.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed on time and within budget.
- Participate in a collaborative work environment utilizing effective communication and willingness to cross train to enhance team productivity, versatility, and skill development.
- Comply with comprehensive safety protocols and participate in ongoing training to ensure a secure work environment and maintain a safety-conscious culture.
- Follow all 5S principles and guidelines daily to optimize workflow, efficiency, and a clean work environment.
- Undertakes additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by management.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, & Skills required)
- Preferred: High School Diploma or an equivalent qualification; 1 years’ experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities.
- Capable of following instructions and responding to management direction.
- Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Exhibits experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
- Has the ability to read and interpret various documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability and willingness to learn new skills, both technical and non-technical.
- Ability to learn new skills and perform tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) are required for this position.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to develop excellent knowledge of product specifications and discern quality issues.
