Locations: Austin, San Antonio, Fort Worth, Dallas, Houston, The Woodlands, Plano, Frisco, Round Rock, Georgetown.

Compensation for this position will be provided on an hourly basis and may vary depending on factors such as work experience, location and the care plan.

Role Overview:

The licensed caregiver will provide compassionate and attentive care to the client, ensuring safety, well-being, and comfort. The role involves assisting with daily activities, monitoring her health, and accompanying appointments and outings.

Responsibilities:

1. Assistance with Mobility:

• Ensure the client wears a gait belt during awake hours.
• Provide stand-by assistance to prevent falls.
• Assist with wheelchair use during outings.

2. Personal Care:

• Help the client with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assist with oral hygiene routines.
• Support toileting needs.

3. Health Monitoring:

• Observe signs of fatigue during walks (decreasing pace, leaning forward).
• Provide contact guard assistance to prevent falls.

4. Meal Preparation:

• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements.
• Ensure the client stays hydrated.

5. Medication Reminders:

• Nurse delegation course/training is required.
• Provide medication assistance.
• Keep track of medication schedules.

6. Light Housekeeping:

• Maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Perform light household chores (e.g., tidying up, laundry).

7. Companionship:

• Engage in conversation and activities with the client.
• Provide emotional support and companionship.

8. Accompanying the Client:

• Accompany the client to medical appointments.
• Assist with outings (using the wheelchair when needed).

9. Safety Measures:

• Never leave the client unattended due to high fall risk.
• Regularly check on well-being.
• Ensure the client always wears a gait belt.

Expected hours: 20 - 40 hours per week

Experience:

• Caregiving: Minimum one year.

License/Certification:

• CNA/HCA, CPR, First Aid, and proof of Negative TB result (Required)
