Job Description: Controller

The Controller for Aceto will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations of the organization. They play a crucial role in ensuring the company's financial stability, implementing effective financial systems and controls, and providing accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making processes.

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management: Develop and manage the company's financial policies, procedures, and controls. Direct and coordinate all accounting functions, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and tax compliance.

2. Financial Analysis: Provide insightful financial analysis and reports to senior management, highlighting the company's financial performance, trends, and risks. Continuously evaluate financial data to identify opportunities for cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and process improvements.

3. Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop annual operating budgets in collaboration with department heads and senior management. Monitor budget variances, conduct quarterly forecasts, and provide accurate financial projections for key stakeholders.

4. Cash Flow Management: Manage the company's cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity to meet operational needs. Review and approve expenditures, monitor accounts receivable and payable, and optimize working capital management.

5. Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and variance analyses. Ensure compliance with local accounting regulations and standards.

6.Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks impacting the company's operations and implement appropriate risk management strategies. Collaborate with insurance providers, legal advisors, and auditors to safeguard company assets.

7. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaborations, and continuous improvement. Provide guidance and support to develop their skill and knowledge.

8. Audit and Compliance: Coordinate external financial audits, ensuring compliance with audit requirements. Liaise with auditors and address any identified issues promptly. Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and assess their impact on the company.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.

- Proven experience as a Controller or similar role within the construction industry.

- Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles, including job costing, revenue recognition, and WIP.

- Proficiency in accounting software.

- Solid understanding of financial analysis techniques and ability to interpret complex financial data.

- Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

- Excellent leadership and team management skills.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.

- Detail-orientated and highly organized, with a strong commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines.
