Job Duties and Responsibilities

In this role, you will: 

  • Utilize security testing platforms like Keysight, Viavi, and Tenable for testing new ORAN hardware and software.
  • Analyze and validate security testing within the ORCID Open RAN (ORAN) environment.
  • Review network and system logging standards for compliance with security frameworks for new projects.
  • Collaborate with Security Analysts and Architects to ensure proper security implementation and compliance.
  • Document and report vulnerabilities to ORCID clients and ensure the environment's protection.
  • Advise on new security measures for ORAN testing and protection, proposing enhancements as needed.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests, analyze data for threats, and respond to data threats to mitigate risks, staying updated on emerging cyber threats and documenting findings in reports.

Skills, Experience and Requirements

As a successful Staff Cyber Security Lab Engineer, you will have: 

  • BS in Engineering or equivalent technical degree with 8+ years of experience in Computer Science, Information Security, or Risk Management.
  • Minimum of 7 years in security operations, including hardening and maintaining security tools required.
  • CISSP, GIAC, or equivalent cloud certification required.
  • Proficiency in security protective controls and threat landscape understanding.
  • Experience with NIST 800-53 Control Framework and regulatory compliance required.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making ability.
  • Effective project management skills, adept at working independently, and excellent communication abilities.

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $110,100.00/Year - $174,900.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
