Responsibilties:

As a Registered Nurse, the IV Clinical Sales Liaison will collaborate with physicians, case managers and various referral sources to assist in patient discharge and coordination of care. The IV Clinical Sales Liaison will represent the organization and perform initial introduction to the infusion service line and products, as well as provide hands-on nursing care to initiate IV start of care / patient discharge process from inpatient settings.  The IV Clinical Sales Liaison will assess the patient and/or caregiver's ability to become independent with Infusion therapy at home and self-administer therapy according to the prescriber's orders.  The IV Clinical Sales Liaisons will work in a unique and rewarding setting that allows them to use not only their exceptional clinical background but also their relationship building skills.

  • Grow business by recognizing opportunities to expand relationships with referral sources and partner with the medical community to understand their patients needs for a safe and smooth transition home.
  • Collaborates closely with the Sales Manager and Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Intake to present therapy programs within assigned hospitals in order to meet sales goals.
  • Initiate, develop and grow relationships during regular sales calls with physicians, social workers, discharge planners and other healthcare practitioners to facilitate efficient coordination to home and increase number of referrals.
  • Conduct initial infusion set-up and patient/caregiver education on our therapy services at bedside before they are discharged.
  • Assure documentation of assessment, interventions and planning meet organization timelines, as per Hackensack Meridian policy.   Complete nursing assessment, medication reconciliation and collaborate with prescriber on Plan of Care.  Update care plan within documentation policy period of change in patient status.
  • Report patient care problems to manager or appropriate nursing management personnel and/or physician in a timely manner with possible solutions.  Assure documentation indicates case communication.
  • Provide appropriate clinical report to transition patient home to be case managed by a Home Infusion
  • Assure compliance with appropriate physician orders in a timely manner and that visit frequency follows physician orders.  Assure documentation reflects compliance with physician's orders.
  • Utilize strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills in order to interact and form relationships with key partners and patients
  • Work in a rapidly changing environment requiring multi-tasking, critical thinking and creative problem-solving
  • Use excellent organizational tools requiring technical skills
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and adhere to all medication use and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
  • Adhere to HMH's Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
  • Lifts a minimum of 10 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 10 lbs. and stands a minimum of 8 hours a day.

Qualifications:

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Associate of Science in Nursing
  • Minimum of Two (2) Years RN Experience
  • Minimum of Two (2) Years Experience in a Sales/Marketing/Liaison role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent


Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Minimum of Four (4) Years RN Experience
  • Minimum of Four (4) Years Experience in a Healthcare Sales/Marketing/Liaison role
  • Proficient in Google Suite (G-Mail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides)


Licenses and Certifications Required:

  • NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
  • Valid Driver's License from a USA state.
