Minimum 1+ years nursing experience required.

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled 1:1 Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide dedicated healthcare support for a 5th-grade student with complex medical needs in a school district near Dublin, OH.

Responsibilities:

  • Accompany the student from home to school and back, riding the bus for consistent medical support.
  • Provide 1:1 nursing care to a 5th-grade student with Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, and Asthma.
  • Address the neurological needs related to involuntary movements and seizures.
  • Administer medications as ordered, including via g-tube.
  • Medication administration.
  • Utilize communication devices to support impaired verbal communication.
  • Diaper checks/changes for incontinence.
  • Manage respiratory conditions (Asthma and Aspiration) with an Asthma Action Plan and suction as needed per orders.
  • Perform skin-position changes every 2 hours, observing potential areas of rubbing from braces or leg supports.

Qualifications:

  • Current Ohio RN or LPN license.
  • Experience in pediatric nursing, particularly with students with complex medical needs.
  • Familiarity with Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, and Asthma.
  • Ability to adapt to the unique medical needs of the student.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, including effective communication with parents.
