Accounts Payable A/P Supervisor

The Accounts Payable Supervisor directs the accounts payable staff and works closely with our corporate personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily processing and month end close of accounts payable in the AP system.
• Maintain accounting controls by enforcing policies and procedures surrounding the expenditures cycle.
• Directs the processing of 1099s at year end.
• Manage customer relationships (internal/external) to ensure consistent service is provided.
• Prepare analytical reports as assigned or requested by Treasurer or other Ciena corporate staff.
• Direct 3 Accounts Payable personnel on processing, coding, month end close, training, etc.

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in accounting or similar designation preferred.
• Strong computer skills including a solid understanding of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to respond effectively to questions from management and facility associates.
• Experience with automated invoice processing is desired.
