Storm Search is conducting a Direct Hire search for Mechanical Welders in the Barberton, OH area!

Welder Job Duties:
- Weld a variety of metals using manual, TIG, and stick welding techniques.
- Utilize weld jigs, fixtures, special machine racks, and frames, and similar items for efficient and precise welding.
- Perform delicate weld operations on expensive components and assemblies, as well as other challenging details.
- Read, interpret, and understand blueprints and welding procedures to ensure accurate execution of welds.
- Conduct grinding to remove slag inclusions, excessive weld material, burrs, or other imperfections, adhering to pre- and post-welding steps required for high-quality welds.
- Inspect all welded work using appropriate measurement instruments to meet quality standards.
- Complete and maintain all necessary documentation related to welding tasks.
- Clean machines, tooling, and parts to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on welding machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Welder Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in manual, TIG, and/or stick welding.
- Proficiency in using various measuring instruments for accurate welding.
- Ability to pass a weld test demonstrating competency in required welding techniques.
- Capability to maintain accurate documentation related to welding tasks
