Parts Loader- Inspection and Packaging - 1st and 2nd Shift

Lapeer Plating & Plastics, Inc., The Premier Manufacturer of Class A, High-Visibility Automotive Components, is seeking highly motivated, team players, possessing a continuous improvement mindset, to join our team as Plating Production Operators.

Plating Team Members are responsible for the day to day, manufacturing, inspection, and packing of plastic, and chrome plated components.

Employees at this level will load and unload components onto or off from Plating Packs, pack or unpack parts and components, inspect and hand trim components, as well as keep an hourly check list of scrap and defects.

No Experience Necessary - we will train you!

PLATING DEPT (PLT) – 10 Hours Shifts – 4 Days per week*

1st Shift - 3:30am to 1:30pm (Mon- Thurs, Fri/Sat as needed).

2nd Shift - 1:30pm – 11:30pm (Mon- Thurs, Fri/Sat as needed).

* Some overtime may be required

Position Pay is:

1st Shift: 14.00 per hour

2nd Shift: $14.75 Per Hour

Job Description

• Reading, understanding, and following written and pictorial work instructions.
• Inspection of chrome plated and plastic automotive components for defects.
• Racking or Un-racking of components onto or off Plating Racks
• Clipping or trimming of excess plastic or chrome plated plastic.
• Packing of parts into boxes and containers
• Lifting of up to 60 lbs.
• Cleaning and maintaining work areas.
• Recording and reporting of scrap and production number

No Experience Necessary - we will train you!

• Must be 18 years of age.
• All positions require constant movement, continuous standing, excellent attention to detail and basic math skills.
• Must Have Reliable Transportation
• Must be able to report to work without any absences for the 60-day probationary period.
