Job Description: We are in search of an Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Planning and Development to bolster our team. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Planning and Development, the AVP will spearhead strategic initiatives focused on acquiring, developing, and revitalizing affordable housing properties. This role is pivotal for an enthusiastic professional driven by the desire to enact positive change.

Responsibilities:

• Lead multifamily real estate acquisition projects, including financial modeling and partner selection.
• Oversee the development and rehabilitation of affordable housing properties, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Contribute to strategic planning for the Planning & Development office, aligning initiatives with organizational goals.
• Provide insightful analysis of public policy issues influencing affordable housing initiatives.
• Mentor and manage assigned staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Seven or more years of experience in senior management roles within affordable housing or real estate development.
• Profound understanding of LIHTC program requirements, HUD affordable housing programs, and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong analytical abilities, with expertise in financial modeling and project assessment.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, adept at collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
