We are a leading global automotive tier one supplier with a presence in 72 locations across 14 countries. We are currently seeking a Tooling Cost Estimator to join our Corporate R&D office. This position offers a hybrid remote work environment, an attractive benefits package, flexible work hours, a matching 401K plan, and a relocation package for eligible candidates.
Job Summary: As a Tooling Cost Estimator, you will work under the guidance of CCR management to create stamping tooling concepts, manufacturing feasibility reports, and cost estimates for new model automotive programs. Your responsibilities will also include presenting your findings to various levels of management, conducting analysis of mass production tool modifications, and performing a variety of other analytical functions as required.
Essential Skills:
- Maintain a strategic mindset in all aspects of the role.
- Develop stamping tool concepts.
- Produce manufacturing feasibility reports for stamped parts.
- Estimate tooling costs.
- Conduct cost savings and profit margin analysis.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
Qualifications:
- A 4-year degree in a technical-related field or equivalent work experience in a technical-related field.
- Willingness and ability to travel both domestically and to overseas locations as required.
