THE ROLE:
Hope Leadership Academy is seeking a Part-Time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) who would evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders. They will also develop an appropriate treatment plan to train, communicate and educate family and caregivers of those with communication disorders.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Diagnoses and treats communication disorders
- Creates treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients
- Performs screenings to detect speech/articulation disorders
- Educates patients and family members about speech and language disorders
- Maintains detailed records relating to patient conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress
- Establishes and maintains appropriate relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members by communicating in a tactful, courteous, and confidential manner
- Upholds a professional appearance, and demonstrates behavior that is conscientious and responsible
EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience in the SLP setting
- Previous experience in School setting preferred
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Fully accredited (CCC) preferred
Pay Rate: $40 - $55 / hour
Estimated Needs: 10-12 hours a week on-site
