As we expand, we're looking for an Experienced Stainless Steel Fabricator to join us in our mission to turn bold ideas into reality.

The Role:

You will be a pivotal part of our fabrication team, working hand-in-hand with our mechanical engineers (including the visionary behind our latest innovative projects) to create and refine the components that are the backbone of our unique machinery. This role demands not just technical skill, but also creativity and the willingness to explore uncharted territory in the fabrication of stainless steel and other nonferrous materials

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our engineering team to understand design specifications and bring those concepts to life through high-quality fabrication.

  • Use your expertise in fabricating and welding stainless steel and other nonferrous materials to craft parts and components with precision.

  • Operate a range of machinery and equipment, including waterjets, CNC press brakes, CNC mills, machine lathes, and various welders, to produce components as designed.

  • Play a key role in the prototype development process, providing feedback and suggestions to improve designs and processes.

  • Contribute to a culture of innovation, quality, and teamwork, constantly seeking ways to improve the work we do and the way we do it.

  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Processes, Food Safety Standards, and related operational procedures.

  • Other projects and duties as assigned

Required Education, Skills, and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required. A technical school certificate in a related field, such as Welding/ Fabrication or Precision Machining.
  • Proven experience in stainless steel fabrication and welding, with a portfolio or examples of past projects.

  • Familiarity with operating equipment such as waterjets, CNC press brakes, CNC mills, and machine lathes is highly desirable, but not required.

  • A creative and innovative mindset, with a willingness to experiment and tackle complex fabrication challenges.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work closely with engineers and other team members to realize project visions.
  • Dedication to craftsmanship, quality, and detail, ensuring that every piece produced meets our high standards.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • Must wear proper PPE at all times
  • Able to move heavy objects under 50 lbs. without assistance
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable source of transportation

All SaltWorks Employees are held accountable to food safety and quality standards that are communicated in job descriptions, during onboarding training, annual refresher training, posted policy statements, and posted GMP and HACCP reminders. All Employees are responsible for reporting food safety and food quality problems to a manager for immediate correction.

Salary Range: $25-$37 per hour non-exempt
