Summary: This position is responsible for the safety and productivity of all operation employees staffed on their designated shifts. Additionally, the Team Lead position is accountable for ensuring that the scheduled operations are executed in a timely manner and within all quality standards; and that all open issues are escalated promptly to the appropriate supervisor, manager, and/or other appropriate management contacts.

  • L = Learn, instruct employees on their roles, and ensure complete understanding of the role, and department goals and expectations.
  • E = Example, lead by example and provide modeling for employees to achieve good work habits, create a respectful work environment, be on time, and come ready to work.
  • A = Attitude, portray a positive attitude and help to instill that in the team. Motivate all to maintain a positive attitude to ensure high morale and productivity.
  • D = Dedication, dedicating time to help train employees in department processes and procedures and ensure everyone knows their role. Be available for overtime as needed.
  • Monitor emails for their department and ensure emails are responded to promptly.
  • Understand the priorities of their department
  • Run daily reports and communicate any discrepancies to upper management
  • Delegate and direct tasks amongst team members.
  • Enforce revolving manufacturing rules and processes.
  • Assist the Supervisor to ensure that your team of associates is properly trained to adhere to the policies, procedures, standard work instructions, and productivity in your department at RK Logistics
  • Assist the Supervisor to schedule workers in operations or plant to ensure efficiency. Ensures items are received, stocked, picked, inventoried, cleaned, and/or shipped properly
  • Ensures that all processes run smoothly and that workers are always kept safe
  • Provide supervisors, managers, peers, and subordinates with information about quality, safety, delivery, cost, and morale.
  • Assists supervisor in monitoring activity and making sure that daily quotas are met by keeping workers on task and informed of procedural changes. Escalates to supervisor if production falls behind for any reason.
  • Provides excellent internal and external customer service.
  • Assists with maintaining inventory during monthly physical counts.
  • Navigate within WMS to check on the material and its current location.
  • Help with the implementation of and continued adherence to Lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives.
  • Assess and analyze current practices and drive improvements.
  • Partners and coordinates with management, peers, subordinates, and other internal departments to resolve issues and concerns.
  • Lead by example of positive reinforcement and make RK Logistics a World Class company.
  • Maintains good partnerships with customers by responding to their needs and requirements. Provide company focal point for customer visits.
  • LEAD; if applicable duties:

1. Handle all will call Inbounds and Deliveries

2. Monitor QB ticketing system.

3. Respond to/monitor emails.

4. Communicate and respond to engineers daily

5. Inbound and Outbound crates, pallets, and boxes of material

6. Disburse kits/shortages to engineers.

7. Handle MTTs, SAs, ZSAs, and other plant transaction items

8. Process offsite SRKs

9. Crate and Box inventory/ordering

10. Cleanroom bag inventory/ordering

11. IPC employees/signing timecards.

12. Run daily reports of Inbound and Outbound products.

13. Run RMBWAs for upper management.

14. Process SAP Transactions

15. Process RTSs

16. Process NCIs/ Material Scrapping

  • Complete other duties as assigned

  • Must be able to lift and move items up to 50 lbs. unassisted while using safe lifting techniques
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including overtime to cover escalations if required.
  • Follow all meet all SLAs and SWIs

Qualifications & Skills needed:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong math & writing skills
  • Customer and Quality Focused
  • Intermediate computer skills and SAP experience are a plus. Microsoft Office Suite is a must.
  • 2-4 years of experience in the logistics field or any other related industry
  • LEAN understanding with the ability to fully execute 5s and 7s
  • Understanding of logistics, shipping, and receiving
  • Excellent time management
  • Great communication and soft skills
  • High Sense of accuracy
  • Knowledge of inventory control
  • Assertive; being able to meet high-volume demand
  • Able to collaborate with all parties necessary to achieve goals
  • Knowledge of handheld RF equipment a plus
  • May need to use light power tools
  • Must have forklift certification on both Sit-Down and Stand-Up Forklifts
