Paddle Sports Team Lead - Rentals

The Paddle Sports Rental Team Lead is the core leader in their locations rental shop department. This position’s primary area of focus is to ensure that their locations' rental fleet is in working order, inventory is accurate, fleet is well organized, Technicians are following the rental processes correctly and are well trained, reservations are being fulfilled, and customers are satisfied with their experience. The Paddle Sports Rental Lead is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the rental department, and is there to help facilitate the growth of their department.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and Direct all Technicians in the rental department.
• Confidently manage the operations of the rental department.
• Inspire Rental Technicians to work hard every day.
• Be able to handle any rental inquiry.
• Be able to effectively train technicians on rental department skills, and help facilitate technicians to reach senior/expert skill level.
• Work with your team to manage the rental fleet inventory schedule.
• Help to create clear workflow plans, lead the implementation, and be able to know when to make adjustments.
• Able to perform moderate repair skills: PVC boat patching, rubber boat patching, zipper repair, buckle repair, Roto molded plastic kayak welding, Epoxy repair, and general rental fleet maintenance.
• Be an expert at handling customer complaints and finding win-win solutions.
• Regularly monitor that all Rental Technicians are following safety protocols.
• Buy used gear the Next Adventure way and know how to use the RAPID software.
• To help facilitate warranty claims properly, while being able to identify unique solutions outside of the manufacturer's warranty.
• Perform advanced Easyrent functions: create staff Easyrent profiles, create/edit rental articles, inventory management, reporting, IT troubleshooting, reservation management, and reservation portal troubleshooting.
• Perform moderate Retail Pro Functions: open/close register, adjust inventory, cash register duties, and create manual transfers.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working as a Next Adventure Senior Technician or have experience working in a leadership role in a rental shop.
• Moderate paddle sports repair knowledge.
• Ability to work under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Enjoys and thrives working with a team.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to talk in depth about paddle sports gear.
• Ability to assess equipment damage.
• Light to moderate lifting, with reasonable accommodation.
• Standing for long periods of time.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
