Food Safety Practitioner (PCQI/SQF)

The PCQI (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual)/SQF (Safe Quality Foods) Practitioner maintains responsibility and control over all food safety and quality functions and has primary responsibility for ensuring facility compliance to any legal, internal, and customer requirements. This role requires someone who is team oriented and likes training/coaching others. Ideally this role will branch into facilitation of improvement and project management activities.

Essential Duties

• Update the policies and forms of the food safety program/SQF program.
• Update the food safety binder with the latest policies, procedures, and forms.
• Maintain a food safety program to address relevant food safety, quality, and security requirements for receiving, handling, manufacturing, and shipping egg products.
• Lead out in the annual review and update of the food safety program.
• Facilitate process improvement activities.
• Train others to perform food safety and oversee the program.
• Oversee employee training program.
• Maintain records for all food safety events and training.
• Oversee written responses and corrective actions.
• Make regulatory compliance files available to auditors.
• Handle and review customer complaints.
• Review HACCP plan & Hazard Analysis annually.
• Coordinate all customer Certifications and compliance.
• Handle all principles, forms, and measurements related to HACCP.
• Register with the appropriate regulatory authorities.
• Maintain accurate records for producer certifications.
• On-board new food products into food safety program.

• 3+ years in food manufacturing or similar experience.
• Complete support of and willing adherence to Westfield Egg Farm's mission, vision, and core values. Applicants must hold these standards as their own.
• Microsoft Office proficiency

Below are preferred certifications but not required:

• SQF Certified
• HACCP Certification
• PCQI Certification
• Bachelors Degree or similar experience
• Root Cause and Corrective Actions
• FDA/USDA (Experience with inspections)
• Developing SOP's and programs
