Housekeeping Inspector

Job Summary:
SpringHill Suites Cheraw is seeking a Housekeeping Inspector to join our team in Cheraw, South Carolina. This is a full-time, hourly position in the hospitality/restaurant industry and is a management role within our hotel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of guest rooms and public areas, as well as ensuring that all hotel brand standards and policies are met.

Compensation & Benefits:
The Housekeeping Inspector position offers a competitive hourly wage of $11 to $13 per hour, paid biweekly. In addition, benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and employee discounts may be available depending on qualifications and length of employment.

Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to hotel brand standards
- Train and supervise housekeeping staff to ensure quality and efficient work
- Inspect and maintain supply inventory for housekeeping department, ordering supplies as needed
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to appropriate departments
- Prepare and update daily room occupancy reports
- Assist with recruitment and hiring of housekeeping associates
- Assist with scheduling and managing housekeeping staff to ensure appropriate coverage
- Promote a positive work environment and provide guidance and support to housekeeping staff
- Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping or supervisory experience in a hospitality/restaurant setting preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards is a plus
