Senior Accountant

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our organization, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, as well as the ability to analyze financial data and provide strategic insights. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in corporate accounting, general ledger accounting, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities
 

• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data
• Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
• Perform variance analysis to identify trends and potential areas of improvement
• Manage the general ledger accounting process, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Oversee accounts payable and payroll functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements
• Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting standards and regulations, guiding the organization as needed
• Assist with internal and external audits as required

Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA certification is strongly preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate accounting or public accounting
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other regulatory requirements
• Proficiency in accounting software systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
• Experience with technical accounting research and implementation
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
