General Manager

The General Manager in McAlister’s Deli is responsible for managing all aspects of the business operations in the restaurant. He/she will have to work according to the safety standards of the company.

Areas of responsibility include:

• Manage all areas of operations for a specific department
• Manage marketing and human resources
• Manage service and operations
• Manage scheduled shifts
• Manage daily decision making
• Manage staff support and guest interaction
• Manage quality and cleanliness
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date manpower plan
• Prepare schedule
• Use the company selection process to interview hourly employees
• Train and develop hourly employees
• Ensure sales and control costs
• Ensure and implement plans to address opportunities
• Ensure proper security procedures to protect employees, guests and company assets
