Industrial Painter

Express Employment Professionals is looking for an industrial painter to work with our valued client in Warren, Ohio. 

 

Shift: 32 Hours per week M-Th 6:00am -2:30pm 

Pay: $20.00 per hr 

 

Responsibilities:

1. Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, or applying chemical solutions.
2. Priming: Apply primers or sealers to prepare surfaces for painting, ensuring proper adhesion and coverage.
3. Paint Application: Apply paint or coatings using various methods such as spraying, brushing, or rolling, ensuring even coverage and desired finish.
4. Color Mixing: Mix paints to achieve desired colors or shades, following specifications or color charts.
5. Quality Control: Inspect finished surfaces for quality and adherence to specifications, making any necessary touch-ups or corrections.
6. Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain painting equipment, including brushes, rollers, spray guns, and compressors, to ensure proper functioning and longevity.
7. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while handling paints, chemicals, and equipment, to ensure a safe working environment.
8. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of paint usage, surface preparation, and job completion for reporting and inventory purposes.
9. Team Collaboration: Coordinate with other team members, including supervisors, engineers, and maintenance personnel, to schedule and execute painting projects efficiently.

Qualifications:

1. Experience: Previous experience as an industrial painter or similar role preferred.
2. Knowledge: Understanding of painting techniques, equipment, and materials used in industrial settings.
3. Skills: Proficiency in surface preparation, paint application, and color mixing techniques. Ability to work with precision and attention to detail.
4. Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols for painting and handling chemicals.
5. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, bend, and lift heavy objects for extended periods.
6. Teamwork: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with team members.
7. Problem-solving: Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems related to painting processes and equipment.
8. Certifications: Some employers may require certification or training in industrial painting techniques or equipment operation.
