Housekeeper for Private Estate/Home (Lincoln Park)

A private family estate in Lincoln Park, Chicago is searching for a full-time Housekeeper.

The housekeeper will directly report to the House Manager. The candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.

Overall Key Accountabilities (including but not limited to the following):
Housekeeping:
• Ensuring that all household spaces are maintained at the highest cleanliness levels and that all housekeeping tasks are performed as needed.
• Ensuring all stocking levels of consumables are adequate and replaced when appropriate.
• Ensuring maintenance of all cleaning equipment, supplies, and products; ensuring safe and sanitary storage and care of products.
• Cleans and washes items specified by the homeowner (pots, pans, dishware, etc.).
• Light laundry duties may be assigned.

General:
• Help with improvements for better service standards with a general theme of anticipating the owner’s needs and organization.
• Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
• Working quickly without compromising quality.
• Inspecting for and immediately notifying and addressing any damages, deficits, and disturbances.
• Implementing and adhering strictly to rules regarding health and safety and ensuring compliance with all company policies and practices.
• Always conducting oneself in a professional manner.
• Adhering to the established standard of conduct and house rules, fire regulations, procedures, and policies.
• Passing any owner feedback accordingly.
• Assisting with errands asked by homeowners, guests, or team.
• Assisting with groceries and supplies.

Requirements:
• Housekeeping/Laundry: 2 years (required) preferably in a residential space.
• Experience working in a luxury home, hotel or luxury yacht.
• Strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to utilize feedback and anticipate owner’s needs.
• Ability to receive owner in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Ability to handle owner enquiries.

Schedule:
8-hour shift - 40hrs per week.

Required qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• 18 years or older
• Able to stand for duration of shift
• Available to work: weekdays
• 2+ years of experience in the cleaning & maintenance services industry

Preferred qualifications:

• At least high school diploma or equivalent or higher
• Valid driver's license
• Available to work: on call
• Available to work: early morning
• Available to work: overtime
