Network Engineer Enon, OH (Hybrid) KEY RESPONSIBILITES AND DUTIES Complete analysis of the IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement including but not limited to firewall, routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS Develop and coordinate implementation plans for integration architecture based on business requirements and IT strategies. Research and recommend new technologies to achieve improved architectural performance while effectively managing the associated costs of IT operations across the enterprise. Design and develop network architectures for on premise datacenters, cloud (public and private). Define processes for technical platforms, system specifications, and technical and business compatibility. Support development of technology/information solution patterns for application of appropriate technology to support business requirements. Escalates technical issues to project team and leadership as needed along with insight on recommended resolutions. Directs and promotes continuous improvement to help the project and technical team Completes other duties, including special projects, as assigned by Management. “MUST HAVE” SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Understanding of connectivity of datacenter endpoints such as compute and storage devices. Understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud networking and infrastructure best practices. Understanding of network security best practices. Understanding of migration requirements from physical data centers to the Microsoft Azure cloud environment. Understanding of network traffic flow between on prem and cloud environments. Critical analysis of network design for optimal network traffic flow. Expert knowledge and understanding of common network protocols. Proven experience designing, implementing, troubleshooting and supporting firewall configurations. Skilled in hybrid networking environments – connecting on-prem to cloud networks (AWS, Azure, OCI, GCP). Experience with Integration (Datacenter, O365, Oracle, SAP), Services, and Business Process Management for global solutions. Good understanding of intra-department functions and operations. Ability to translate business needs into architecture requirements. Understanding of common information architecture frameworks and information models. Strong collaboration and communication skills and ability to work on cross-functional teams. Ability to work both independent of immediate supervision and in a team environment.
