Site Crew Member/Tower Climber

Job Description

NCI Datacom is seeking motivated and customer-oriented individuals to join our team as a Site Crew Tower Climber. You will be primarily focused on NCI’s wireless access point locations and other electronic/communication sites. The position is focused on maintaining and upgrading existing sites and equipment and construction of new sites. This includes buildings and antenna support structures, equipment and equipment enclosures and commercial and solar power systems. Climbing towers is an essential part of this job and working at heights is required. The role includes:

• Work in a safe manner at all times including proper use of PPE.

• All work performed in a “workmanlike” manner.

• Maintain site records in compliance with NCI procedure.

• Sites are maintained to achieve the highest reliability

• Work collaboratively with the local team, including other technicians and contractors, to ensure efficient service delivery

• Maintain inventory of installation materials, tools, and equipment, reporting any shortages or discrepancies to the supervisor

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to fiber optic installations.

• Fulfill any other duties assigned by the Regional Field Operations Manager or General Manager for the region. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Perform daily site work as assigned.

• Maintenance and organization of tools and equipment in good condition.

• Update site records and work records on a daily basis to make sure it is done as outlined in company procedures.

• Climbing towers and other antenna structures, performed in a safe manner and in compliance with company requirements. NCI provides training and equipment for climbing.

• Installation of new equipment, wiring and other required items at NCI communications sites, with work done properly, safely and efficiently.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and installation instructions.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.

• Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing time and priorities effectively.

• Physical fitness and ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to customer locations within the designated local markets
