Minimum Qualifications:
Transfer: One year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service in this title or in a title eligible for 70.1 transfer.
This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS)*.
To be considered for appointment through NY HELPS, candidates must meet the open-competitive minimum qualifications for this position, which are:
Three years of experience performing clerical, keyboarding, or paraprofessional work in an office environment.
This position may be designated 55 b/c and is subject to verification of applicant eligibility.
Duties Description:
Assist in carrying out Division planning and project development activities and in preparing short-term and long-range work objectives and goals around implementation of federal requirements related to the Child Care Program.
Develop, maintain and update tracking spreadsheets as required. Act as liaison between Division and other OCFS Divisions and other State agencies. Type correspondence, documents, records, and other written material. Use software packages, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, etc. Proofread and correct work to produce accurate copy. Assist with public presentations and the facilitation of internal and external meetings. Answer phones and handle routine questions or issues.
