SUMMARY


We pride ourselves on the culinary experience created in our kitchen and are looking for a passionate cook to help our business. The ideal candidate for this position enjoys working in a busy restaurant environment, takes direction while multi-tasking effectively, and possesses a positive attitude in achieving team success.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items
  • Collaborate with the executive chef/senior cooks to prepare meals during dining hours and/or as needed for catering
  • Assist to ensure that food inventories are accurate and inform management when low
  • Ensure that food is properly stored at appropriate temperatures
  • Rotate stock items per established procedures
  • Assist with restocking kitchen for next shift/day
  • Ensure food prep areas and kitchen are clean and sanitized throughout the day (especially at closing)
  • May be required to assist in other areas (as directed by management)
  • Work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere

 

REQUIREMENTS


  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to read and follow standardized recipes
  • Knowledge of proper food handling procedures (ServSafe® and/or other food handlers license is a plus)
