Job Description
Who do you cook for? At Maine Veterans' Homes, you have the opportunity to be part of a team preparing meals for Veterans, their spouses and Gold Star Parents.
We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual to join our 5-star dietary team as a Cook.
The Cook is responsible for safe food handling, preparation of meals for our residents, including some therapeutic dietary needs. They are also responsible for supervising the Food Service Workers in the absence of the Dietary Manager.
This position is 40 hours per week, 5:30am-2:00pm, and includes every-other weekend.

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in all phases of food service
- Two plus years cooking experience
- Experience cooking in a healthcare setting preferred
