Patient Account Specialist @ Revenue Cycle Specialists, Inc. - Grand Island, NE

Salary Range: Up to $22 an hour, based on experience

Work Days/Hours: Monday thru Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

Job Summary:
The Patient Account Specialist at Revenue Cycle Specialists, Inc. in Grand Island is responsible for contacting patients, discussing insurance payments, gathering any additional information needed on the account, and setting up payment arrangements.

Responsibilities:
- Utilize exemplary customer service skills on the telephone
- Suggest payment sources for unpaid account balances
- Understand medical billing, patient billing, and insurance documents
- Update customer records with new information, call results, and relevant notes
- Perform other assigned duties

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Customer Service experience is preferred
- 2+ years of previous experience in a leadership role within medical billing, patient accounts, or call center environments

Communication/Teamwork Skills:
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish would be an asset

Technology Skills:
- Proficiency in using computers, including Microsoft Outlook, and phone systems

Work Environment:
The Patient Account Specialist will work in a temperature-controlled office environment, sitting at a desk during regular work hours. The role will involve making telephone calls, typing on a standard keyboard, and reading and comprehending information from a computer terminal and/or written resources.
