Job Summary:

The Recreation Department at Ocean Place Resort & Spa is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a full-time Recreation Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the planning, organization, and execution of various recreational activities and events for our guests. This position requires a passionate individual who enjoys providing exceptional customer service and has a strong desire to create memorable experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in planning and executing daily recreational activities, such as games, sports tournaments, arts and crafts, and fitness classes
- Set up and maintain equipment and supplies for recreational activities
- Interact and engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent customer service
- Promote and sell recreational activities to guests, ensuring revenue goals are met
- Create and distribute promotional materials for upcoming events and activities
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of activities and events
- Manage inventory and supplies, and submit purchase requests when necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Adhere to safety and risk management protocols to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for guests
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the Recreation Manager or Director

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree in Recreation or related field preferred
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospitality or recreational setting
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
