  • Title: Fair Housing Administrator
  • Location: Dallas, TX 75201
  • Pay: $20.00/Hr. CONTRACT
  • Schedule: 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. - Monday-Friday.
FAIR HOUSING ADMINISTRATOR
Duties:
  • Assigns and monitors case load of investigators to ensure contractual obligations are being met.
  • Develops operating procedures to ensure consistent.
  • Conducts workshops for employers.
  • Attends meetings representing division/section.
  • Reviews the investigative work of staff and determine the appropriate disposition of cases.
  • Reviews and/or performs analyses of complaint trends and recommend to City management short- and long-range remedial actions to correct or prevent future conflict situations.
  • Consults with and provide advice to management on equal opportunity and housing issues.
  • Responsibilities - Supervisor and/or Leadership Exercised:
  • Responsible for the full range of supervisory activities including selection, training, counseling and recommendations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.
  • Knowledge of civil rights investigative techniques.
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws.
  • Knowledge of city practice, policy and procedures.
  • Knowledge of applicable processes, techniques, and methods.
  • Knowledge of supervisory and managerial techniques and methods.
  • Knowledge of program management techniques.
  • Knowledge of fiscal planning and budget preparation.
  • Skill in oral and written communications.
  • Skill in handling multiple tasks and prioritizing.
  • Skill in using computers and related software.
  • Skill in data analysis and problem solving.
  • Ability to handle hostile conflict, and uncertain situations.
  • Ability to train others.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with city employees and the public.
