• Base salary (Commensurate with experience)

Essential Functions:

• Provides in person and remote psychiatric evaluation and management for CSV patients based on patient location.
• Works with a multidisciplinary team of CSV providers regarding psychiatric aspects of the patients care.
• Maintains a knowledge of general medicine and psychiatry; current developments in the field of psychiatry; hospital and clinic organization management and procedures.
• Confers with the consumer relatives/care givers regarding illness and treatment.
• Maintains electronic medical records, including medication lists and e-prescribing.
• Manages and maintains a panel of patients.
• Adheres to the highest standards of medical ethics at all times.
• Assures quality of care for all patients at all times and regularly participates in clinic Peer Review and Quality Assurance Programs.
• Adheres to and complies with state and federal standards of clinical practice.
• Required to see appointment and walk-in patients as scheduled.
• Completes various forms for patients including, but not limited to medical clearance forms and disability evaluations.
• Reviews lab results for patients managed at the health center.
• Provides prescriptions refills for patients managed at the health center.
• Provides good customer service to patients including; introducing self, welcoming patients, explaining treatment/conditions, inviting the patient to ask questions and participate in their visit, explaining follow-up care, medications, referrals, etc.

You will be successful with the following qualifications:

• Satisfactory completion of a Master’s degree in Psychiatry Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program.
• California Medical License.
• DEA License.
• Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association.
