SUMMARY:

Records, verifies and post payments received by the organization. Ensures transactions are recorded promptly and accurately in accordance with internal accounting policies. This is a temporary project 2 to 3 weeks. On-site in Camarillo, schedule is 8:30-5:00 with 30 min lunch.

ESSENTIAL FUNCITONS:

• Oversee full-cycle Accounts Receivable processes.
• Correctly bill customers for goods or services.
• Collect payment from customers and accurately record in ERP system.
• Reconcile account discrepancies.
• Update customer account and contact information in ERP system.
• Prepare and review Accounts Receivable (AR) Aging statement.
• Send AR Aging report to customers.
• Follow up with customers on past dues accounts to obtain payment.
• Maintain customer credit hold status when customer accounts have past due invoice(s) or order(s) exceed credit limit.
• Release customer credit hold when payment is received, or credit limit is revised to a higher limit.
• Review customer credit reports and propose credit limits.
• Support customer Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process with Customer Service department.
• Maintain customer statement reconciliation.
• Proactively respond to inquiries from various levels of management and maintain good working relationships with internal and external contacts.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED required. Associates or bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance preferred
• 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
• Excellent ERP knowledge required. Preferably Syteline or similar (i.e., SAP, Oracle).
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Able to read and understand technical forms and financial reports.
• Must be deadline-oriented with excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Able to work productively and with a high level of accuracy while managing multiple deadlines.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Good understanding of accounting principles.
• Excellent research and record-keeping skills.
• Must be respectful with handling confidential information.
• Excellent knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) with advanced Excel skills
