Job Description
- Actively canvass assigned territory for new business opportunities
- Follow up on leads via phone, email and in-person selling techniques
- Negotiate and close new business opportunities using Shaffer approved vending agreements
- Regularly visit customer locations, both proactively and reactively
- Spend approx. 60% of time seeking out customer renewals and enhancing relationships; 40% seeking new business
- Real-time recording of sales calls and notes into CRM tool via phone or tablet
- Meet quarterly and annual minimum expectations set forth by Shaffer
Position Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- 3-5 years Account Management or Route Sales experience
- Experience with and comfortable cold-calling
- Comfortable with technology – able to log sales calls via phone/tablet
- Accountable; commits to providing a consistently high level of service to customers, colleagues, and management
- Team player; works collaboratively with others
- Able to build and structure customer presentations and present contracts/agreements
- Self-motivated and goal oriented
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
