Job Title: Manufacturing Associate

Reports To: Department Supervisor

Shifts Available: 3rd

General Purpose of Job

Operation of equipment and assembly of parts to complete torque converter product in conformance with company and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities described below are subject to management discretion and may be changed at any time based upon corporate need or reasonable accommodation. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor of this position.

• Operation of equipment that includes CNC (computer numeric control) Lathes, Grinders, Welders, Stamping Presses, Milling Machines, Testers, Furnaces, Polishers, Glue Applications, Piercing, Balancers, etc.
• Change over equipment from one type product to another.
• Verification of product quality using various types of gauging and visual inspection.
• Maintaining proper calibration of gauges and machines.
• Minor maintenance of equipment.
• Documentation of product and machine data as required per M.Q.C. standards.
• Support of team members to achieve goals (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, and Morale).
• Full support of 5S5T program.
• Complies with applicable Exedy America Corporation policies and procedures.

Education and/or Experience

• Minimum of three years manufacturing experience is preferred.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to apply the metric system to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Must posses the ability to get along with others in a team- oriented environment.

The employee will frequently lift up to 38 lbs., and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
