MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Inspect sites regularly to identify problems and necessary maintenance.
  • Coordinate daily cleaning and maintenance activities.
  • Maintain all inventory and equipment and ensure proper storage.
  • Review proposals or plans to determine timeframe, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects.
  • Order material and coordinate deliveries at specified times to conform to work schedules.
  • Inspect work in progress to ensure that the work being performed conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules.
  • Collaborate with Safety Director and Location Leaders to develop, implement, and verify the effectiveness of AgState policies.
  • Oversees and assists in the training for maintenance personnel, locations operations, and managers to ensure maintenance is done properly, timely and adequately documented.
  • Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of project and coordinates with location leaders for movement of employees from other facilities to accomplish projects that require additional manpower.
  • Coordinate project activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies.
  • Serve as coordinator on damage control in a disaster, help plan rebuild, review insurance coverage, negotiate claims, and assist in redesigning and preparing to rebuild facility.
  • Must be able to work various hours to meet production and delivery schedule deadlines.

EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma and five to six years hands-on industry related experience and/or training.
  • Must have a strong understanding of OSHA regulations and applicable regulatory requirements and best practices. OSHA 30 or comparable safety training and/or certification is strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to safely operate vehicles, pay loader, forklift, and emergency equipment.
