JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our Retail Assistant Manager- II provides store leadership at the largest of our Goodwill store sites. They provide leadership in particular for the processing/warehouse portion of the store, supervising staff who sort and grade incoming goods. Their customer service skills must also be top-notch as they will deal with elevated customer issues, demonstrating to the store staff our commitment to friendly customer service and team work. Must lead by example; showing integrity and following company guidelines in letter and spirit. Responsible for holding associates and self accountable for meeting company goals. Should be interested in learning about store budgets and other elements of the management role. Must show integrity and resourcefulness and enjoy a varied and very fast-paced environment.

Assistant Managers will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Assisting in hiring, scheduling, counseling and terminating staff as requested.
  • Ensuring production goals and sales goals are met.
  • Closing store, reconciling cash with daily sales reports and secures facility for night.
  • Preparing and maintain records of store operations including daily sales reports, cash deposits and opening/closing reports.
  • Cash register/customer service.
  • Receiving, pricing and stocking donations. (Receivers may occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and frequently lift and carry 10 to 35 pounds.)
  • Hanging/Inspecting/Tagging textile & clothing in a production style setting.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required. Associate’s Degree in business-related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Requires five years of progressive management experience. Must have experience in either a retail or production facility or facility similar to Goodwill Stores.

HOURS: Associates should be available to work most store hours, especially on evenings and weekends. Most stores are open M-Sat from 10am-8pm and open at 1pm on Sundays.

PAY: $19.95
