Pay rate: $17.60-$24/hour (based on experience)
This position is part-time. Availability to work weekdays from 3p-6p required.

The ASES (After-School Education & Safety) Program supports families by providing a safe and educational after school environment through state grants. ASES students receive homework assistance, snacks, and participate in activities that support S.T.E.A.M., leadership, sports and other enrichment opportunities.
Our ASES Program Aides work as a team to build a positive and supportive environment for elementary school aged children. Program Leads ensure social, physical, spiritual and mental development needs are being met through the planning and leading of educational and enrichment activities in an after-school setting.
Successful candidates for this position possess the following skills-
- Passion for working with elementary school aged children.
- Supportive of diversity and inclusion in all interactions.
- Strong communication.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse team.
Minimum Qualifications-
- Documented experience working in the field of education, with at-risk youth, or school age childcare in large organized settings.
- Minimum 18 years of age and/or high school graduate.
- Fingerprint clearance from both Department of Justice (DOJ) & FBI, which includes sex offender screening.
Preferred Qualifications-
- (24) course units towards a degree in education, psychology, child development, or related field
- CPR/First Aid certification (or the ability to be certified within the first 60 days of hire)
- Language skills in Spanish.
- Experience or a passion to share skills in STEM, art, sports, music, large/small group games, crafts, tutoring, etc.
