Position: General Worker

Location: Girad, PA, Franklin, PA and Tionesta, PA

Contract: 6 Months contract

We need to hire many laborers that will work on 3 very large ground level solar farms in North Western PA. The resources that we will be hiring will be needed for up to 6 months and will be responsible for assembling solar rack systems as well as installing solar panels on those racking systems.

Each candidate will be taught how to assemble the racks, handle the solar panels, mount as well as install solar panels with the use of hand tools to properly secure each panel. Candidates must be willing to carry solar panels, install racks and follow directions for assembly as well as provide support in the solar panel installation. Candidates must have steel tip work boots, gloves and be comfortable working outside. Each of the 3 solar farms will span across 250+ acres. Many thousands of solar panels will be utilized for this extremely large renewable energy project. General labor skills are required, and knowledge of various hand tools indicated below. Blue collar skills including ability to follow directions, unload, carry, stack, and install the solar panels as well as transport solar panels and racks.

Blue collar skills sets required:

  • Ability to work with tools such as wrenches, screw guns, rachets, Philips and straight screw drivers, Allen wrenches, vice grips, wire stripers, crimpers etc.
  • 6 months, experience working in a blue-collar job where they had to work with some of the tools listed above.
  • Some examples of prior experience that man be helpful may include: Factory workers, Assembly line workers, construction helpers, electrician helpers, mechanic apprentices, assemblers of furniture. Solar experience is nice to have but not needed.
  • Warehouse workers may also have ability to join the project as there is a lot of moving racks and panels, so warehousing skill sets could be helpful for certain roles if the candidate has a general understanding of how to use hand tools.
  • Highschool graduates or candidates that worked in a vocational program (trade programs ) may also have a role on our project, depending on abilities.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds and work outside on a construction site, with steel toed boots is a job requirement.

Project length: 6 months (Estimate)

Timeline : The project starts the last week of April 2024 where we will need a hand full of laborers to start. More laborers will be brought on in the second week of May and then each week going forward we will be adding headcount until the project peaks in Mid June where we will expect to have 180 laborers onsite working on the renewable solar energy project. We anticipate the project to last 6 months and into October 2024.
