The Account Executive is an integral part of the home health and hospice administrative services team and as such is responsible for assuring that all marketing is done according to the home health and hospice philosophies. Keeping in mind the mission of the organization, it is the responsibility of the Account Executive to manage efficiently the resources of the company to provide and develop accurate and cost-effective marketing efforts.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Strong preference for successful completion of college courses in business, marketing or related field. Baccalaureate degree preferred.
  • Must be able to use a personal computer and knowledge of Microsoft Office is requested.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, to include a courteous, and professional telephone manner.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, with available and dependable transportation, and proof of current automobile liability insurance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Demonstrated history of ability to design and implement prospecting tools for lead generation.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a current customer and contact database.
  • Responsible for the delivery of documents among branches, physician offices and other errands as assigned.
  • Prepares and maintains all product and service information.
  • Answer the telephone in a manner that promotes positive feelings of well-being in all callers.
  • Works closely with and reports to the Director of Sales.
  • Acts as the liaison between the Agency, community, and physician(s).
  • Database maintained current within one-year, weekly reports detailing a summarizing of customer contacts, possible leads, and provides weekly reports of phone calls and faxes.
  • Provides monthly report on number or contacts generated, referrals received, and leads generated.
  • Communicates to the Director of Sales needs regarding product and information supplies and prevents crisis of inventory and information supplies.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to follow marketing plan and variance reporting within budget restraints.
  • Produces the volume of referrals as requested from the Vice President of Marketing or other manager as assigned.

  • Able to communicate verbally and in writing to the extent required by the position.
  • Able to physically perform the duties required by the position.
  • Able to travel.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk or car and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
