Senior HR Generalist Duties:

  • Act as a business partner with operations and other plant leadership to understand and positively impact the business.
  • Drive and facilitate recruitment for all open hourly positions within the facility, including creating and posting positions through onboarding of new hires.
  • Act as an advisor to all levels of the plant regarding policies, benefits, employment law, and setting expectations for a positive environment and mission-driven culture.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to ensure active relationship-building and in correcting performance in a constructive manner.
  • Support a safety-first culture in the facility, including participation in investigations, corrective actions, and worker’s compensation cases.
  • Lead projects within the region and organization-wide to support the company and drive continuous improvement in the HR function.
  • Stay current on job knowledge and assist with mentoring and educating team members within the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a professional level Human Resources position is required. PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.
  • Experience in HR in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred, particularly with multiple shift operations.
  • Able to communicate effectively with and positively influence individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of a variety of employment laws, including OSHA regulations, FMLA, USERRA, Wage and Hour laws, EEOC laws, etc.
  • Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office and HRIS software.
  • Self-motivated with a customer service mindset.
  • Must be able to wear all required PPE and actively interact with co-workers on the production floor and in an office environment.
  • Occasional travel, primarily local, may be required.
  • Must be willing to work hours outside of typical day shift schedule when needed.
