POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will be responsible for performing merchandising activities, such as product rotation, stocking of product, display presentation, display execution, installation of point-of-sale displays, and construct displays requested by the sales team or retail customers. This position is a safety sensitive position that requires the employee to be able to perform job-related task without a direct threat to their safety or the safety of others. This position will require you to drive from customer location to customer location within your assigned county.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPSONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist sales team with maintaining positive relationships with retail customers.
  • Perform merchandising and stocking activities within an assigned territory.
  • Ensure all company products are properly displayed.
  • Complete stock rotations, shelf resets and backroom duties as needed.
  • Ensure all products are in good saleable condition. Remove damaged items from the selling area and place them in the area to be returned.
  • Install point-of-sale materials as directed.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Proper removal of trash, cardboard, shrink wrap etc. from the stock room and store front due to product placement.
  • Maintain shelf space in all accounts, obtain additional space when possible.
  • Expedite delivery of product with product placement at customer’s locations.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and auto-liability insurance in accordance with state laws.
  • Maintain good business relations with the customer and sales team.
  • Ability to recognize sales opportunities and report to your sales team.
  • Submit out of stock conditions to sales daily.
  • Ability to work weekends during busy season.
  • Maintain appropriate dress (uniform) and personal appearance standards according to the dress code policy.
  • Adhere to all Federal and State regulations regarding the sale and merchandising of an alcohol beverage or other beverage products.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

  • MUST be 21 years of age.
  • Experience with beverage product sales or in hospitality industry.
  • Presentation skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade, and/or facilitate discussions with all levels of management.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, other business areas and government agencies as required.
  • Demonstrated high level proficiency of oral and written communication skills.
  • Planning and organizational skills necessary to coordinate workload around multiple assignments.
  • You must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds and heavier weights with the proper equipment.
  • The ability to stand or walk an entire shift (8-10-12 hours)

The physical and environmental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, and lift/move objects that weigh up to 25-50 pounds.
  • The ability to stand or walk an entire shift (8-10 hours).
  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, pull, and lift/move objects up to 10-50 pounds.
  • The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, speak, and listen.
  • Moderate to substantial noise level (i.e. office equipment, forklifts, vehicle, etc..).
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The use of corrective lens to aid the employee is acceptable.
  • This position requires you to work indoors in cool conditions or coolers and outdoors in all weather conditions.

TRAVEL: 80% a week in within your assigned area.

  • Supply Chain Management: Managing logistics of moving beer from breweries to the distributor’s warehouses, and then to retailers.
  • Sales and Marketing: Promoting and selling our beer to retailers and consumers by developing marketing campaigns to build brand awareness.
  • Operations Management: Managing the day-to-day activities of a distributor; inventory, order fulfillment, and delivery logistics.
  • Customer Service: Providing excellent service to retailers and customers; including timely delivery, accurate order processing, and prompt resolution of any issues that may arise.
