Department: Production

Reports to: Manufacturing Manager

Employment Status: Hourly Non-Exempt

Shift: 5:50pm - 6am (12-Hour Rotating Shifts) + 10% shift differential

Initial Job Responsibilities Include:

Production Associate’s may be assigned to work in either the Company’s fabrication or extrusion operations with job responsibilities that include but not limited to:

  • Operate fabrication equipment with little or no assistance after having been properly trained.
  • Maintain a rapid pace in packing extruded parts into the box or crate
  • Monitor parts counts in each box or container
  • Perform set-up and finishing work including construction of packaging materials, disposal of scrap and product labeling.
  • Assist with quality checks of extruded and fabricated parts.
  • Work in a safe manner, reporting safety risks, and keeping work areas clean.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed including operator reports, safety check sheets, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills, Qualifications, Education and/or Relevant Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Some manufacturing or assembly experience desirable.

Physical/Mental Demands:

  • Must be able to understand written and verbal instruction and following operating procedures.
  • Must be able to learn and retain information on products, operating procedures, quality requirements, set-ups, etc.
  • Must work well in a team setting.
  • Must be able to lift loads up 50 pounds and assist coworkers with heavier loads.
  • Must be able to work on your feet for a 12 hour shift.
